Now what's this badge? It doesn't look like Opel, more like Vauxhall... but - were Vauxhalls sold in Italy after the 1970s? Or did they just tape over the badge because Opel didn't approve the usage of their emblem? ![]() |

Opel badge removed as it happens in Italy in many recent TV movies, maybe for a law. |

I see quite often Opels without badges, we all know what kind of milestone in product-quality Opel was in the 1980s and 1990s... |

It looks like all Saab/Scania badges. The badge surface will invariably crack and eventually peel off completely. Even a OEM replacement will only last a few years. I bought a Saab emblem off eBay now, this won't crack but keeping it on will be the problem... |

I agree with your assessment. My ex-1985 SAAB 900 S did have the same problem at the hood badge. |

For many years I always had a little screwdriver and an original VW-hubcap-tool in my jacket Sure, I never have used them for stealing badges of hubcaps of real cars - but from abandoned wrecks and on scrapyards After some years I had a big box full with them. But I lost the interest, after the cars with metal-badges and chrome-hubcaps disappeared. Also the badges, fixed with glue have sucked me. I never took care about the plastic-junk All the badges I've sold later on on oldtimer-markets and a few much later at eBay. |
