so many distinguishing features have been knocked off and thrown away.  the CJs and YJs both used this door and hard top combination. based on the flare style and side step style i'd make this a 1987+ [YJ] (not a "Wrangler", based on the filming location of Canada), and ~ with that side step, it didn't begin life as a base model. if the hard top was original, and was originally black, this was probably laredo trim rather than sahara or islander. the license plate would have originally been on a flip down bracket covering the fuel cap (the exposed cap is very CJ-esque), and the tire carrier is gone as well. the bumperettes, the exposed section of frame at the rear, the tail gate handle, and the tread section on the side step would have been black rather than body color. in other words... like many jeeps ~ it's been around a bit. |
