One for sale on Ebay that was used in the film...it's a '66 (though it's pretty obviously not the car that was blown up). Link to "cgi.ebay.com" |

Naturally, we would not let them blow up the 66, but there was not alot of donor series 1 cars for totally blowing up available, so the series 2 was used for blowing up, but the rest of the film used the 66 |

Series I "hero" car: Then of course it becomes a Series 2 for the destruction scene. ![]() |

Cancel S2 completely. The main which goes boom is a 1971+ S3 V12 (2+2 - all the V12 coupes were 2+2). Admittedly the only definite feature visible for S3 is the bonnet/grille, but it has tints so is probably correct. The "Series I hero" car is a 1966 S1 4.2 litre. -- Last edit: 2011-06-14 19:06:02 |

Still too nice of a car to needlessly destroy. This needs to stop. There was NO reason for them to use a classic jag of ANY year for an exposion. |

It looks a mock-up, especially at the rear from the suspension height. Jaguar body parts, but not necessarily a proper car. |

Is this meant to be the equivalent to Jan-Michael Vincent's Mustang in the original? |
