Ford... Fairlane 500 2 door hardtop..? seems too plain to be a Torino. 1970+ i believe. |

Not the 1970.5 Ford Falcon? |

i had considered that ~ and had to try to decide if the one in the photo was a 2 door sedan, or a 2 door hardtop. as far as i can determine, the 2 door falcons were all sedans, leaving the lowest model of 2 door (pillarless) hardtop as the fairlane 500. i strained my eyes on this one trying to see that pillar... ![]() |

But this car is so plain and stark from the rear and side. Are you SURE it's not a Falcon? All the Torino and Fairlane photos I have seen seem show some kind of side trim or at least nameplates and I see none here. (I agree I do not see a "B" pillar but it's not completely clear.) Is there another angle available? -- Last edit: 2010-08-09 15:38:54 |

another angle would be most helpful indeed... it all comes down to that pillar, which surely doesn't seem to be there from this angle. otherwise, yes - QUITE plain. though... did the Falcons have a script at the rear quarter that's absent here as well..? |

OK. Anyone have access to this movie and can look for this scene? Does the car in question have a "B" pillar? |

the 1970 fairlane 500 never had a trunk badge or the "F O R D" badge in-between the tailights to my knowledge, must be a falcon or 71 torino 500 |
