Riley Pathfinder? Daimler Conquest or similar Lanchester? It looks British and has a nice row of badges on a bumper bar which was a very English habit (as Ingo, our cultural expert, would no doubt confirm).

I think Riley Pathfinder is right, too slab-sided to be a Conquest.

Definitely a Riley Ditchfinder. (So called because of the coil spring and Panhard rod rear suspension on the earlier models).

The Daimler Conquest had another window behind the back doors.

To my surprise this seems to be the very first on the site...

Total Pathfinder production 1953 to 1957 is 5536, plus another 2,000 outwardly similar six cylinder cars using the BMC group engine found in Austin Westminsters etc. Given these low figures and the car not being particularly iconic like, say, a Royce would be, it's perhaps not a surprise.
