Brand new at the time this episode aired, which was April 2, 1985. The pickups gained their last cosmetic update for the 1985 model year. Updated cosmetics included new headlamps bezels, grille work and a larger horizontal bar which carried the Chevrolet "bowtie" emblem. Note the front bumper twin steel pushers, which are functional (!), not just for looks (I’m not sure exactly what GM expected you to be pushing on with them) Nice to see all that high-quality polished metal, stainless steel and chrome work glistening in the sunlight. Immortalized in film, it will always be brand new. Still has what appears to be the dealership tag on the front bumper ... |
