I don't think so. I think it's always been red and grey. I think Jim's car and Rocky's truck were updated every season/year, but they were always the same color.

No Rockys truck was always the Same year throughout the Series. It was just Jims car Updated from '74 till then stopped when they got to '78

I noticed that the Sierra seen in the fifth picture included in the first comment shows a Sierra with a SILVER-GRAY hood and not the maroon paint of the main vehicle. It seems as if the '76 used in the show had the silver-gray hood. Just an observation. Like the previous commentator says, some scenes have the truck with lights and a winch, while in others these are not present. Hardly surprising that the show would have multiple vehicles for both first unit and second unit filming, and the Sierra would have been very useful to Cherokee Productions as a workhorse in addition to being a guest star. I'm sure James Garner wasn't displeased that Pontiac / GMC marketing provided vehicles that could double for practical use behind the scenes, including Mr. Garner driving to and from work! Though maybe he'd want to leave it at the office, as the distinctive Colonial Gold Esprit may have screamed "GARNER".
