now you're only trying to give me a headache with the motion blurred [S30] cars...  i'd say yes - Datsun 240z [S30] - and while i'd love to have one with a clear shot at a bumper or a sail pillar emblem, i'm going out on a limb to say that the sail emblem seems pretty faint, and thus is likely to be the (smaller) round vented style that was used late 1971-1973. probably should be listed as a 1972. |

meh. no worries. as for the spoiler... i'd tend to agree. there was at least one style of "nissan direct" rear spoiler available through the parts departments as cash and carry (or to be installed in house), but there were about 2 billion styles offered aftermarket for the S30 cars in the 70s and 80s ranging from JCWhitney to BRE. the one that i recall as coming from nissan was a little bit taller than this and appeared slightly more vertically flat across the back of the car. considering this Z was 10+ years old at the time of filming, and most of these cars - excluding mine .gif ":)") - got their first repaint when they were about 48 hours old, i vote catalog. |
