The engine was the Renault 2.1 litre, this was the time perios when Renault had a controlling interest in Chrysler. The European Cherokee here however is later (somewhere in the 1988-96 range). On a side note VM Motori supplied the 2.5 and 2.8 litre CRD engines in the KJ Liberty/Cherokees -- Last edit: 2011-09-19 06:39:31
