Yes. Made by the Italian company VM Motori for Europe only. |

The US also got a turbo diesel XJ Cherokee as well, but only for the 1985-87 model years. The engine was the Renault 2.1 litre, this was the time perios when Renault had a controlling interest in Chrysler. The European Cherokee here however is later (somewhere in the 1988-96 range).
