It's official name is Vanagon and Westfalia is the trim level since it's a camper. Also, it has 1986+ headlights. |

The new bumpers were introduced on the US model Vanagon in 1987, it was body-colored. The rest of the lineup still had steel bumpers. They all got the fiberglass bumpers for 1988, with only the top trim "Carat" having lighter gray bumpers (and matching body panels), the rest were graphite (almost black).
