Since I don't see the third row seat, I can safely assume that is model 16635. |

By far the best-looking of the Brady Bunch wagons. This color scheme has aged very gracefully. I find it interesting that it has real California Manufacturer plates instead of movie prop plates. I wonder why. |

Just to clarify, the '70 Kingswood Estate isn't in the Brady family fleet, though a "Brady Bunch wagon" by virtue of appearing in the show playing a role in the storyline. Alas, I am embarassed to be familiar with the episode where Greg is entrusted as a courier for a cylinder containing his Dad's architectural plans only to mislay them in a female classmate's family vehicle (the Chevy wagon). Great observation about the manufacturer plates. I checked on the sequence of this episode, and it is very early on at number six. The propmasters must have been busy gearing up on the new show that they missed that detail. What surprises me is that Chevrolet was already supplying cars to the show at that point in its run. My impression was that Chevrolet didn't begin supplying cars until 1971/1972 joining the original supplier Chrysler. It was just like the "Mission: Impossible" TV show also produced by Paramount Television that had vehicles supplied by a peculiar split of two rival manufacturers. You'd think one would try to push the other off the program. |
