Must we list this 1962 Ford Thunderbird with "Sports Roadster" as model name?. If it is, it would be the 1st. in the site. |

Kelsey Hayes wire wheels, top of the line T-Bird sports roadster for sure, with that add on rear seat cover. |

The fiberglass tonneau cover and Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels could have been added to a conventional convertible(they sometimes are), but those together with the small emblem beneath the 'Thunderbird' script on the front fender seal the deal as a genuine Sports Roadster. |

This car was given to Peggy McMillian by her rich father. In a later episode Peggy is driving a plain Comet wagon. Guess Daddy took it back. -- Last edit: 2021-12-04 02:57:57 |

I'm wondering what color this car is. It's non-metallic, but clearly not black or white. I'm not sure it's dark enough to be red (red photographs oddly in black and white), but it could be. It seems to have black interior, also, and most red cars of this era had red interiors (though I'm sure black could have been had). Random observation, but it just struck me watching the episode now. |
