Bumpers, I imagine. I know the US market Austin Marina had 5mph bumpers, which this doesn't; they appear identical to the home-market ones. I used to work for a tube company which was associated with Britax in a project for an alternative restraint system to seat-belts. The test-bed was an Austin (not Morris) Marina coupé with 5mph bumpers and left-hand drive, number AOL 744K. I imagine drivers must have felt secure with the system because it was probably the most crashed Marina in the Midlands. |

Not sure about Canada, but the US models had these bumpers for '73 and the big ones for '74-75 |

Canadian cars stil had MPH speedometers/odometers back in 1973, the change happened later in the seventies (after 1976). |
