Wow, 1960 Superba! |

How can you tell whether it's a Marathon or Superba? I've seen pictures of early pre-'63 Marathons that had the inboard parking lights in the grille. The Marathon was introduced in 1961 as an upscale alternative to the Superba. |

The Marathon had the parking lights outside the grille under the headlamps. If you see a Marathon listed with inboard lights, it has been mislabled. Link to 1961 Marathon brochure page showing the correct Marathon grille: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" |

it is indeed a Superba, appears to be a 1960, it has the chrome along the side and inboard parking lamps. The 1961 Marathon would replace this model |

My understanding is that both the Superba and the Marathon were built for 1961-1963, then just the Marathon from 1964 forward. This is per the period NADA listings. |
