I want to say 1968-72 Buick Skylark... |

Circa 1971 Pontiac LeMans/Tempest would be my guess. BTW...can we have a page for that pretty yellow-ish 1967 Chrysler New Yorker Coupe? -- Last edit: 2008-09-05 02:08:28 |

I agree. Are you sure it's not already listed as an unknow somewhere? |

I think Pontiac only used that style grille in '72. home.cogeco.ca/~kleahy13/my%20lemans.jpg Buick used a similar grille in '69. www.heraldtimesonline.com/stories/2007/08/19/sm_skylark_0819+Z.jpg I'm not at all certain what we're looking at above. The fender top looks Buick but the side is missing the swoop. |

Yes, they did. Looking through my worn out copy of "Monstrous American Car Sposter's Guide 1920-1980," by Tad Burness, I realized that the horizontal bar on the '71 LeMans wasn't that thick. The 1973's were the ones where all mid-sized GM's got dual headlights and the ugly colonndale bodies, and Pontiac mid-sized models were one of the uglier ones. This is strictly a '72 LeMans. Not a Buick. |
