I believe this is a 1974 Chevrolet. The vertical bars on the grille would seem to make it a Caprice. |

EDIT: It's actually a 1975 Caprice, becuase that's the first year of that front end http://www.fvn.no/amcar/brochures/chevy/75_1.html -- Last edit: 2008-08-21 04:29:30 |

Both 1974 Caprice and 1975 Impala have insignia on top of the grille. With the Impala hubcap and thin mid-level side trim, I would go for 1975 Chevrolet Impala. |

Big Dave and rjluna2 are right. The headlights of the 1975 & 1976 Caprice's come into the grille at angles that the 1974 Caprices and 1975 Impalas & Bel Airs lack. If this is the '75, it's the Impala. This could only be the Caprice if it was a 1974. -- Last edit: 2008-08-23 02:47:16 |

That's exactly what I'm saying, and this car has the front of the 1975-76 Caprice (but it is a 1975 becuase it has round lights, not square ones) |

1976 Caprice wear rectangle headlights while earlier years wore round headlight. Up to 1976, Impala always wore round headlights. |

This is a 75 Impala 4 door post sedan, not a Caprice. Look at the roofline. You can see a quarter window on the rear door, so this rules it out as being a 74 Caprice, as the 71-74 4 doors all used the same rooflines each year. I can tell easily because I own some of these cars, but in addition you can easily tell it's not a 75 Caprice since there are no parklights in the bumper, and the side marker lights are in the fender caps and not down on the bottom of the fender like the 75 Caprice would have. 75 Caprices had a more aerodynamic header panel that tucked backward on each side, with round headlights, while the 75 Impala reused the squared off header panel that was used on the 74 Caprice, just with a bowtie instead of the Caprice emblem and a slightly different grille insert. The car in this picture does not look like the 75 Caprice in the catalog image linked here. This car also has the 75 Impala smoothie hubcaps if you look closely. 76 Impalas in turn used the 75 Caprice nose with a different grille, and the 76 Caprice used square headlights. This is a 75 Impala! No contest!!! haha -- Last edit: 2008-09-26 09:51:54 |

And this movie had the most fake looking snow I'd ever seen, I remember watching this on TV and wondering why there was shaving cream all over the place...lol |
