The armored car looks similar to the Chiyoda QSW, but extra confirmation is needed: http://www3.plala.or.jp/takihome/Aikoku.htm |

yep..Japanese Chiyoda/Sumida Armoured Car 6x4 Type 2593..produced from early 1930s..designed to run on both road and rails,...technically known as an "Armoured Rail Car".permanently fitted with solid metal flanged wheels with, when needed solid rubber tyres which would be slung to the side of the armour and slipped over the flanges when road use was required. |

This isn't a Type 91 So-Mo (Chiyoda QSW) which I think it's supposed to be identified as. I don't know what it is. The only Japanese armored car I can think of with a body so low to the ground is the Type 93 Kokusan, but this isn't that either. It looks so familiar. I'm going with Type 92 Chiyoda for now. -- Last edit: 2024-10-17 04:14:13 |
