we're looking for the white sedan, not the Chrysler 300 convertible, right? |

I'm pretty sure it's the one in the background, which also looks like a mid-50's Ford. |

By the side trim only on the rear half of the car it's a 1956 Mainline. Sems to be a 2-door sedan [70A]. |

Ah, it is afterall, the only shots I could find seemed to have even less trim, but they were rsutbuckets, so was hard to tell.. cool |

I have factory brochures with no trim at all for the Mainline, some with that same trim on the rear fender. Must be a mid-year change. Mainline OK. |

What is your (plural form) expert opinion of this one? /vehicle_178395-Ford-Customline-73B-1956.html |

That is strange indeed. Still I'd say: no side trim or only side trim an the rear part: Mainline; side trim all over the length and downward point at the rear (with or without two-tone): Customline; side trim all over the length and downward point on the front doors: Fairlane. -- Last edit: 2008-06-27 21:42:56 |
