Sticker set is different... terry was suppost to use this car in the serie but they though it was too pose for him so they use a capri |

rubber ducky is quite correct, the Escort was thought of as being too flash for a guy like Terry so it was written in that he bought that white Capri instead. The Escort was still included as it was an expensive prop that needed some publicity I always thought the Escort was fitted with X-Pack arches though. |

Cycolac Fan is correct. It's a flat front X-Pac kit. Possibly one of the first. More subtle than the wild Zakspeed kit. |

Not totally convinced by Harrier - side strips are similar but flourish on rear wing wrong way round. My hunch is RS 1800 but that usually had the blue stripes lower down - maybe the moved them higher up on the X-pack to avoid the rear vent. Or maybe it's just a boy-racered boggo Popular - we'll probably never know ... |

This listing slipped the net and needs changing. It was BPU911T, originally a 1.3 Escort Sport, Ford ex-Press car. The minder xpack escort, was originally a 1300 sport press car . As mentioned earlier it was sent to John Redding of Webster and Lancaster to have the x pack kit fitted. This was the car Terry was going to use in minder , but again as mentioned earlier it was thought to be to flash for him. After been used in filming it got into the hands of a ex ford employee from Wales, believed to have worked in the gearbox dept. He fitted it with the 2.0ltr pinto. It then as the rumours say got P/X for a JAG. It then spent much of its days in Wales . Its appeared in a few publications over the years too The ford cars magazine Feb 1984. Street Machine May 1985 Also still appears on Fibresports web page they made the kits There is another article too but not sure possibly performance ford or something like that. There are recent posts on fb saying its now being carefully restored in North East England. A recent DVLA check shows its still alive Lads !!!! |
