Seems to be based on a 1937 Ford. |

This looks like a Dagenham produced 1937-38 Ford V8 30 Hp [78], it seems to be RHD and the extra lights on top of the fenders are also typical of british production. Production of the british model 78 ran from january 1937 to June 1938 The chrome things beneath the windscreen are the wiper mounts, seen fairly well on this one: /vehicle_28731-Ford-V8-De-Luxe-01A-1940.html Wipers have same position on Convertibles and Station Wagons. The grille and side-trimming seems different from standard 1937 production, it resembles more of the US Standard Model of 1938 so I guess this is a late production car fitted with this grille and its painted in a bright colour on the sides. Maybe that gives the impression of chrome to the grille? |
