I'd think the nose is too short for the (6-cylinder!) 1500... I'd go (by length of the bonnet and size of the wheels) for a 1940-1948 1100 ALR or a 1949-1953 1100 ELR. Maybe Animatronixx can help to identify the bodywork (Viberti?). |

No, I fear I can´t help with this. Ambulances are just a somewhat disregarded sideline to my main connoisseurship, the funeral vehicles. Though know several ambulance bodies/ coachbuilders and have a little bunch of material about them, I wouldn´t call myself an ambulance expert.Maybe it was Viberti, but I know there were many producers of similar bodies around in Italy. |

Fiat 1100 BLR o ELR. It is surely a commercial version (the final "R" means "reinforced") because of the big rear axle hubs. One can tell "B" from "E" by the shift leverage: on the ground tunnel for Bs, on the steering column for Es. |
