Yes, 1961 for sure and low end Pontiacs were Catalinas. |

Pontiac must have sponsored this show...as everyone usually drove a Pontiac Catalina or Bonneville. The main car used by the Surfside 6 detectives (Troy Donahue as Sandy Winfield II, Van Williams as Ken Madison, and Lee Patterson as Dave Thorne) was first a 1960 Pontiac Catalina or Bonneville convertible, and then subsequent models were used--1961 or '62.
