Yes but this Vedette has never been selled as Ford, but as Simca |

In France the very first Vedettes of this type (built before 1st of December 1954) were Fords, though these are very rare... In some foreign markets (like Holland and Germany) they were sold as Ford during the first years, because of the better reputation and prestige of that name. |

In 'Rétroviseur' # 206 (novembre 2005) there's an article about a French Ford Vedette Versailles. Here I found that chassis nrs. 2015 till 3082 had Ford as make (September - December 1954), so that would make 1067 cars. Chassis code was [F52 A]. |
