I'ts not a "W900" Actually a "T950". The Australian version of conventional w900 in the U.S, you can recognise the "Higher" footstep under the entrance door to the cab, it became a trademark for the australian conventional kenworth series..... |

This is actually a late 1992/early 1993+ Kenworth C-501 (Australian origin). The C-Series are designed for off-road use - typically used as road trains in outback areas. The T-950 looks similar (also introduced in 1992/93), but T-950s have a slanted bonnet, and are typically used on paved roads due to having lower ground clearance. The headlights on the T-950 also don't protrude as far from the body as on the C-Series. Yes, the W-900 was sold (and built in) Australia from 1971-1987. It was replaced by the Australian developed T-900 in 1991 (and supplemented by the T-950 and C-501 variants in 1992). -- Last edit: 2026-03-13 11:05:24 |
