What's left of a 1969 model

The end of Izzy's limo, anyway. ;)

And the end of another rare, collectible vehicle at Hollywood's heavy hands.

I wouldn't exactly call a 69 Fleetwood rare, there are plenty old Cadillacs of this generation still driving around, especially when this was filmed in 87

I was around and car crazy back in 1987. Never saw one on the road even then.
My grandfather owned a '69 Sedan DeVille. Dark blue. Beautiful car.

Wow, what part of the country do you live in? Because they can be seen quite regularly here in the mid Atlantic...

"Quite regularly"? 1969 Cadillac Limos??
(I live in N.C.)

yeah I can think of three here in the city I live in in VA and another one near my beach house in NC, just off the top of my head (I can't say that they are 69s exactly but look very much like this one here, although I am not a caddy expert so I guess i could be wrong. I also remember 60s and 70s Cadillacs being quite plentiful when I lived in Augusta (GA) and Myrtle Beach, but that was about 10 years ago. Oddly enough though my brother is a tech at the local Cadillac dealer (Rick Hendrick's Cadillac) and he called me last week and said that an elderly man brought in his 68 Coupe DeVille to the dealership to get some work done on it, and it was in such mint condition that the dealership wanted to buy it from the guy to put in their showroom. The owner said he bought the car new and he wasn't selling it no matter what. :wow:

We have a Rick Hendrick's here locally. I see their ads alot.

Three period limos in the same city. I guss I'm living in the wrong place. Haven't seen ANY '69 Cadillacs of any description around here in better than 10 years.

I live in the Mid-West and I actually do periodically see Caddys from this period (I would say 1968-70 or so) around--even in my town! Some are "junkers" like Izzy's in the "MV" pic, while others appear in mint condition---like the one tonkatracker mentioned above. I LOVE old Caddys and these are some of the best and still cool to see. :) However, my favorite Cadillac is a 59. ;)

I do remember an Amtrack trip we took out west about 10 years ago. We did see alot more older cars than we do here in the east.
Not counting SUV's and vans, it seems like here in Raleigh 2 out of every 3 people drives a small white or silver Asian-built sedan.

Oh, there's plenty of the white or grey asian sedans here too--unfortunately! :/ I swear every other person drives some boring-looking, tiny, bubble-butt Toyota Corolla. My parents even drive a white one now...and I continually give them heck with, the "sushi mobile" and "chop suey car". :p

All of that is my opinion, I know, but I do NOT like tiny, little, bubble-butt foreign cars. To me they have no style, no class, no "character", no "soul". To me the real cars were the American cars of the 70's and older. However, some cars of the 80's and 90's were fairly decent too...like the Camaros, Corvettes, Firebirds, Lincolns, and Cadillacs.

@tonkatracker
Not a 1969 Fleetwood, which is indeed not very rare, but this is an even longer Fleetwood Seventy-Five. Just around 2000 made per year, spread over two editions.
I own a 1970 limo myself, looks almost identical to this one minus a small difference in the rear lights. You are right, perhaps the regular Fleetwood sedan is to be found plenty, but not the same as this more rare one.
