I saw a MB just like this in Brazil(even the dual side mounts were there) some years ago. It was said to be a 1938, gasoline engine, but no other information was reliable. I believe it could be W 138, 230 engine, same body as the 260D.

The straight bumper in this car is horrible, as well the horns.

I think this straight bumper came from a post-1951 Citroën Traction 15 Six :-)
