Could you peel them off easily or were they a bit sticky? In films they sometimes paint bulletholes on. |

Here it looks like sticks indeed but its only CGI, if you watch the scene you can clearly see it. |

I think they were waterslide transfers; they would wear off in time ... although I think some people varnished over them. |
