Daimler, almost certainly: possibly Empress? http://www.daimler.co.uk/daimlermodels/html/empress.htm |

It is an Empress, but how can you tell it's a Daimler? |

Hubcaps - and so far as I know only Daimlers were Empresses, if that makes sense. |

Hooper built Empress-style bodies for Rolls and Bentley as well. http://www.frankdale.com/carView.php?image=3&carID=544 The rearmost side window doesn't seem to follow the downward curve of the body which may indicate it's a Daimler. |

Definitely a Hooper body, but I would say it is a Bentley Empress II by Hoover.![]() The thumbnail shows a car built 1956. |

I thought it had those ugly 'Gulbenkian' front wings but couldn't believe that we would see another one so soon. And you're right, Alexander, it does look more like a Hoover than a Hooper ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-10-30 15:40:38 |

I like these 'Empress' cars. One day I'll own one. |

Taste is an acquired matter. But let's describe it correctly: Bentley S1 Saloon by Hooper 1955 - 1959 |
