It is the M-246 Tractor Wrecker, part of the M-39 Series 5-ton, 6x6 Trucks (G-744). These were first built in 1951 by International, Diamond T, and Mack and later also by Kaiser Jeep. As far as I know largest numbers were produced by International, therefore I would suggest to use this brand name ... unless someone has more specific information.
