I agree with 1949, but it's very difficult to find the differences between the DeSoto and the Chrysler... I'd go for the DeSoto, because the Chrysler had an extra chrome strip between the bumper and the short strip just behind the headlights. And there is a difference in the bumper (just visible at the front): the Chryslers were concave, the DeSotos were convex with an extra rib on top, like the one shown here. In 1949 the onle convertible by DeSoto was the Custom [S-13-2]. |
