http://www.fomcc.de/latein.htm The infos are in German, but I'll translate it: "[...] Ford opened a new plant in Valencia (Venezuela) on 27th October 1962. 553 workers built 69 cars during the first year. Starting with the Falcon, followed by Galaxie, LTD, Fairlane and Mustang later on. In 1963, 4716 Fords were built. Later models built there were: Ford Bronco Ford Cortina Ford Escort Ford Explorer Ford F-150 Ford Festiva Ford Fiesta Ford Landau Ford Laser Ford Maverick Ford Ranger Ford Sierra, as well as several trucks: Ford Cargo Ford F-350 Ford F-7000 Ford F-8000 Production reached a peak in 1978 with 63,767 units built. In 1997, they celebrated the 1,000,000th Ford produced in Venezuela. Today, about 1,700 employees build the Ford Explorer there." -- Last edit: 2015-03-02 14:25:36 |
