1965 Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe CSX2601"Bondurant drove 2601 one last time at Sicily’s Coppa di Enna, taking 3rd overall and first in GT. After being shipped back to Los Angeles, the car was then leased to Paramount Pictures for use in the Howard Hawkes cult classic movie “Redline 7000”, then purchased by Bondurant, who sold it in 1969.

I'm afraid Vilero is mistaken. The Cobra Daytona Coupe featured in this movie is CSX2287 -- 100% guaranteed -- not CSX2601.

The door cutline and roofline are unique to CSX2287, and not shared with any of the other five coupes.

CSX2287 was the development car and entirely built at the Shelby American race shop in Venice, California, and the only Daytona of the six originals which was not built in Italy (by Carrozzeria Gransport in Modena), although the name of the Californian town is unfortunate in this respect.
