YES!!! Suspicion confirmed!  This is one of max. 20 Opel Blitz Mannschaftstransportwagen (personnel carriers) that were built by famous but often forgotten coachbuilder Autenrieth of Darmstadt/ Germany. Autenrieth started to build these vehicles in 1953, using Opel Blitz 1,75 T chassis. In addition to these convertible trucks Autenrieth manufactured about another 20 units with standard steel roof. |
