57 Dodge Coronet, no bumper guards. On these cars, like the 57 Plymouths, the inner "headlights" are the parking/turn signals. These signals were moved to the bumper guards after being replaced by the high-beam headlights in the next model year. Quad headlights weren't legal in all 48 states until 1958. It is a Coronet, due to the lack of teeth on either side of the dip in the grille. There was a D-500 engine option that sported a HEMI, which this just may be. At right is a 57 Buick Century Riviera 2 door hardtop Model 66R -- Last edit: 2007-04-02 17:14:50 |

The Dodge is a Coronet Lancer 2 dr HT [D66]. Lancer was the name given to harttop Dodges, the same way Riviera, Catalina, and Bel Air fit this designation on some GM models. -- Last edit: 2007-04-02 17:19:12 |
