The roadster is a 1930 or 31 Model A body on a 1932 Ford frame. The grille is a modified 1932 Ford item. Everything is a traditional hot rod build.....the windshield is "chopped" a little more than usual, in my opinion. Any one have an owner or builders name???

This is similar to the hot rod on the cover of the fourth issue of Hot Rod Magazine. There are claims it is the first model of "HOT ROD" to be on the cover of this magazine. A similar car was also featured on Jay Leno's Garage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eqiSoO3zPI It also has it's own postage stamp. This is one of the most iconic "hot rods".

This Roadster belongs to Ed Renck , Pueblo CO, i took photgraphs of it at a car show Rumble @ Rosemont in 2017. When iwatchwed the movie , Starman, i immedatly recogniozed this hot rod. i compared photo I took to the film and this is the same car, The licence plate inthemovie is a Denver Area based plate, Ed lives in Pueblo and is one of the premier Auto custom and racecare builder, but i thinkhe bought this car and made some improvemnts, finished the paint, added the chorme suspension, and other subtle changes , however he did kept the flames and enhanced the overall apperamnce. Ed's son Troy works for the Denver post and you may try to reachhim there . i tried to put a photo onthis page but it would not copy. you mayreach me at Shoes McKenna , photos by Shoes at tmck1946@gmail.com Yoiu probably can get the answer if this is the same exact hot Rod that was in themovie, i thinkit is.
