Funny how this has Onstar, which is a feature you'll only find in a GM vehicle. (the Hummer in this movie also has it, btw) |

Hasn't GM allowed other companies to use OnStar? I could swear I remember Acuras have it. |

I checked Wikipedia, and you're right. There's some in Saabs too. But I stil don't think you'll find it in a Mercedes. |

Saab is part of GM. Still, I'm fairly sure you're right (Mercedes probably has their own version of OnStar). |

I just watched this scene again. When the driver tries to track down the Escalade, you can hear a voice saying "Mercedes-Benz, how may I help you?" "Hell yes, you chickenshit! I need a location of the vehicle with license plate number 'D-SHIZNIT'!" As the driver of the Hummer does the same, you can hear "Onstar, how may I help you?" In both cases the operator is able to track down and report the vehicle's location in less than 2 seconds. ![]() |

General Motor's OnStar is something you can buy and have installed into your car, I could technically get it in my Tempo if I had a few extra thousand kicking around. Same goes with Microsoft Sync and Sirius Satellite Radio. |

Mercedes DOES have their own system simaler to Onstar called Tele Aid, this feature he used in the movie would be called "SOS" |

Good point, but the mirrors you would be able to tell that theyre clear, also, it has different front bumpers than the 2003-2006 model, but i cant say 100% for sure, because i cant see the back of it ![]() |

Is BMW's "On-Star" system exclusive to BMW's? What's it's name? Does BMW pay another carmaker for the use of the other carmaker's system? |

Bmw's is called SOS too, and yes it is, Mercedes has SOS but its only for Mercedes. |

ath20wj is absolutely correct, this S600 is not a 2003 model but rather a 2001 or 2002 (S600s were not sold in the US for the 2000 model year). The lower body work is different, as are the turn signals on the side mirrors, and he is also correct about the headlights. The 2003+ S-Class models had projector style bi-xenon headlamps. These are the older "frosted" style S-Class Xenon headlamps. |
