Apparentely the W140 Mercedes S-Class really is the preferred car of the Yakuza. In this episode he visits Tokyo (which he dipicts as being in a constant traffic gridlock) and even interviews a man who is supposedly a member of the Yakuza. He offers this piece of advice "If you're driving in Tokyo and you happen upon a Mercedes S-Class with blacked-out windows, here's a tip: get out of it's way." The Yakuza bloke explains that they like the big Mercs because they are robust, well engineered, and very luxurious, and since they are imported cars they have a higher status than Japanese cars. It's funny when he's talking to the (supposedly) Yakuza man, he asks him "What would you say if I offered you a lift home in my old Nissan Micra with fag packets on the floor?" then the man replies in Japanese which the voiceover translates as "I'd say thank you very much!" |

That front plate holder feels so off, like it weirdly bothers me that they didn't use one thst fitted the Japanese one. -- Last edit: 2023-05-18 02:02:22 |
