Again, a commercial vehicle (flower car for the funeral trade) on the Cadillac commercial chassis. My guess is 1951, considering the size of the reversing light lenses and the absence of through-bumper exhaust. Coachbuilder could be Superior or Meteor (not enough detail for positive identification). |

I´ve been told this one wasn´t a real flower car, but a cut down funeral coach. Seems like they were in trouble finding enough flower cars to do that scene. |

Appears as though #1 & #2 of the closest cars in this photo look more like '56 and '51 'cut' Sedans on standard Cadillac frames. The others are real Cadillac Flower Cars built on a commercial chassis. The Coaches with the Black Boots are S&S (Hess & Eisenhardt) while Superior & Miller used a 'polished' Stainless Steel Boot (faux stacked convertible top)in these years. Using a magnifying glass car #4 appears to be a 1952 S&S Floral Coach or "Florentine" Flower Car which also used the thru-bumper exhaust. Since each Coachbuilder only made 9-12 Flower cars each year finding one in 1972(let alone 5-SEVEN!)for filming must have been a daunting task. |
