Not only UP but even Manmohan's Car. Our PM Only president has some gifted Merc limo. This bloody car is surviving due to only govt. immunity. Out of 10 cars made, govt buys 8. Its Morris Oxford copy. and the design is same as when it was started in 1956. Until they launched HM Avigo. with little cosmetic change. It doesn't sell gud. |

I hate this car. Until maruti came in 80s. ppl had no choice. How ironic, ppl had to wait 4 mnths atleast for their cars to be delivered. Maruti changed all that. Thats y i swear by maruti. Its like VW Bug. It literraly put Indians on wheel. |

someone had the bright idea in the late 1990s to import these into the UK,but the cost of making them pass the emissions test outweighed the eventual total price,so only a few were imported..they were selling for around £5,000 a time until someone found that £2,000 would buy a mint original Morris oxford it was based on!!!,sometimes the odd Hindustan comes up for sale in the uk from the only imported batch, price now at £2,000..although currently (2007) £1500 buys a mint Oxford!!!. |
