These are two different trucks. The main picture is a military 4x4 Bedford RL again I think. They have added the appearance of the step on the side to match with the thumbnail picture. The longer shot in the thumbnail is not any Bedford as far as I can tell. Although it looks right for the type of British 'Luton' body style, (furniture van) I can not even a say if its a British make. |

Looking at the second picture again, it is probably an Austin FE series truck as here http://ccmv.fotopic.net/p32303015.html The side windows, cab door hinge positions, and wing shape match and the general cab shape with the body tapering downwards is quite distinctive on these Austins. I would expect the Austin to be used for those parts of the movie shot in the UK and the Bedford those made in Germany. |
