The one on the left looks like an American LaFrance 900 to me.

I think both fire engines are the same model.

Both engines are Former FDNY 1980 Century Series ALF's. The all red roof and lack of a Federal Crossfire Light in the front of the cab indicates they are 1980 models. 79 were sold in red... 1 was in Lime Yellow.

The best/easiest way to tell the Century Series from the others is the cab was wider than all other ALF cabs starting right behind the front doors. The cab curved out here and was fitted with a chrome engine cooling vent. This can be seen clearly on the engine on the right between the front door and the middle window. There was usually also a 12" chrome strip at the bottom of the cab front but FDNY had their units built without.

These are 1980 FDNY ALF's. The one to the right looks like it was Resv Engine 514. The 500 series numbers were Resv rigs used when there was a storm, re-call of members for riots and other HIGH FIRE TIMES. The one to the left has a 7 as the last number but hard to say what it was.
