Patton tanks were designed by the Detroit Arsenal and built there and by the American Locomotive company. |

It is Spanish but its an M-47 Patton. The differences between this and the M-48 is that the M-48 had wider fenders, no hull machine gun, horizontally arranged headlamps, square manlet, no side-turret mounded scopes, no storage bin on the back of the turret, and usually a different muzzlebreak. (Although the muzzlebreak on this tank isnt the one manufactured with it but added by the Spanish army.) |

They were all built by Chrysler. Also, US nomenclature does not use dashes, at least outside aviation. i. e. M47, not M-47. Ever. |

Yep. Spain didn't have any Tiger IIs, so they didn't exactly have an option. |

I just noticed, the interiour shots show a steering mechanism that isn't correct for Tigers OR M47's! It shows the typical two-lever system; Tigers use a steering wheel, whilst M47's had a single joystick that acted for both steering and gear shift. |
