Recent license plate (>2001 I think), but again it may not be an indication of the year of the car

Sur le côté de l'auto il est marqué "Sud-Luxembourg", et selon IMDB ça a été tourné dans la Gaume.

Not a real license plate No "O" as letter = impossible

It is RVQ-037 (proof that it is not a good idea to include "O", as they are really similar to "Q" with the character style used on these plates).
I got a plate "DQV" on my 106 in aug.2001, because they used all the letters combinaisons with "Q" that they skipped until then. So I guess that RVQ was used in end of 2001 or one of the next years.

At the end of 2003, I got "HQU" on my Chrysler Neon, but on front plate, my "Q" is more visible.

For all our foreign friends: in Belgium only the back plate with a small VC embossed is the official state-owned plate. The front one is a copy you make at the local shoe-repear-shop.

On my 106 it was not very visible: http://antp.be/pic/106_20010814_f.jpg (though even on the original rear plate the Q is not well made: http://antp.be/pic/106_20010814_r.jpg)

What is the small letter in the middle, between the letters and the numbers?

There is a "·" between the two, and above the "·" there is a "C" and a "V" in a round, which was from the old name of the DIV (which delivers plates currently).
I found a photo that I made where it is more visible:

(by the way, to bad for the owner that he got 532 rather than 512 for its plate :/)

C = circulation
V = verkeer

Thanks for the explanation...I thought it was a litte 1 or 2, which we get in Holland when we lose the licence plates...
To bad indeed for the owner indeed....
