This is not a Rambler American but a Rambler Classic 1963.Americans were the small Ramblers line that had been relaunched in 1958 |

Yes, they did build good cars. They were just not large enough to compete with the bigger manufacturers. Could not enjoy the same economies of scale and were more burdened by government regulations amortized over fewer cars. |
