I don't think the fiberglass tilting cowl was available as an option until sometime in the early 1970's. A 1966 would only have had the gull-wing hood which was used from 1962-1978.

1973 was the first year for this I think. A slightly refreshed version of this cowl was also used until 1988 (79-88) with the name S-Series.

Close. IHC started this in 1971, and ran the traditional Loadstars at the same time. The S-Series existed from 1978-90. The last Loadstars were made in 1979, and the replacements for the S-Series first came out around 1987.

Yes, The tilting hood was not offered on Loadstars unti 1973, If this was an actual 1966 Loadstar, It would have the standard gull wing hood.
