I watched a repeat of a 'Top Gear' show yesterday ...when this car was first introduced. They say that Peugeot wanted to call it '007' ...but was NOT permitted by the producers of James Bond.! |

Actually they wanted to call this one 107 and the other one 007. But as you said, 007 was not allowed so they kept 107 for the smallest car, and 1007 for this one. Well, that's the info that I have, I am not 100% sure that it is this version. But it is quite logical as the actual 107 is smaller than the 1007, and they now use two "0" for the "special" cars that they sold in lower number (cf the SUV project which will be the 4007). |
