This is a mafia limousine used to transport Tony and his crew in Naples in episode 2.4 "Commendatori".![]() ![]() ![]() This car appears in episode 3.12 "Armour Fou" when Patsy Parisi goes out for a test drive with Gloria Trillo and threatens her with a gun to stay away from Tony. Gloria mentions that the car does 0-60 in under 7 seconds, that would make this at least an S500, but then that could just be a line in the script and nothing more. ![]() ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2012-05-14 20:08:26 |

Funny thing is, I just saw that clip, and they use a different Merc for the driving scene, I don't think it's an S-Klasse, but I could be wrong. -- Last edit: 2011-08-05 21:30:15 (G-MANN) |

When the car appears in episode 3.12, "Amour Fou", they use two different cars for the interior. When Patsi Parisi and Gloria Trillo are on the road (driving the car) they use a Mercedes E-Class W210. As we can compare on these pictures (a picture from the Soprano and the other one from a W210) the buttons from the steering wheel are the same, as well as the buttons from the doors to control the seats positions, the ventilation grids are the same, shape of the glove compartment and airbag lid. ![]() Mercedes E-Class W210 from The Soprano Episode 3.12 Link to "www.autoevolution.com" Mercedes E-Class W210 dashboard When the car is stationary (stopped) they are using a Mercedes S-Class W220 (the same car we can see from outside), compare the doors buttons, they are from S-Class and not from E-Class. And you can see that the headrest is different from the moving car and the stopped one. I put a picture from a Mercedes S-Class Pullman interior to compare the headrest (i can't find another photo for the seats). ![]() Mercedes S-Class W220 from The Soprano Episode 3.12 Link to "www.autoevolution.com" Mercedes S-Class W220 dashboard Link to "img2.netcarshow.com" Mercedes S-Class W220 Pullman Limousine You can compare both dashboards from both cars. -- Last edit: 2011-12-09 03:27:51 |

Very strange ![]() |

I wasn’t sure so I apologize if I entered incorrectly. I have seen older models entered as Lang. I tried to be consistent. |

Lang was indeed used mainly for the older models, L was added later and used more or less until name was changed and Klasse introduced (as SL, SEL). These were just LWB models without nomenclature (langer Radstand/long wheelbase version and similar for other languages used in a descriptive way in brochures) So while the 'L' here is technically correct and adds a way to split LWB from SWB, the 'L' was not necessarily used in marketing |
