It's a Fairlane. I'd be very surprised if they were using Galaxies - then Ford's top of the range car - as police cars in 1959. |

It´s a 1959 Galaxie Town Victoria, most unlikely to be a Police car since it´s top of the line 4-door hard-top. But the film is made in 86 so I don´t think it´s a genuine Police car. |

According to 1959 Ford police car brochure, they offer police package only up to Fairlanes. |
