This car is driven by Julie, a character that is seen on several occasions. I don't think the Mav was done justice. |

Another example of great car casting to fit the character, a high school "sophomore" and thus a good match for the freshman Mitch Kramer to hook up with. The economy pony car fits her. "Summer Breeze, makes me feel fine" plays as the film's third and final crane shot rises up to reveal the two kids making out on a blanket as the sun is about to rise. It's a true car love beauty shot for the ages. The gal who played Julie was an Austin local who helped with extras and local casting. She was friends with actor Wiley Wiggins and felt the makeout scene was a little uncomfortable for that reason, but she did a good job in her small role, and was a big help casting, too. -- Last edit: 2021-01-01 02:31:22 |
