This is a "Checker" Marathon, not a Chevrolet though many had Chevy engines.. :)

The only difference between a Marathon (model A12) and a Taxicab would be the base features (taxicab suspension, sleeved cylinders, bigger alternator, etc.). Of course, Checker would configure and sell you your car any way you like it, so there were plenty of Marathons that had all of the taxicab options, and vice versa. The only way to tell is to check the VIN number. This particular car is from between 1965 and 1968 (you can tell by the short windshield with driprail, chrome bumpers and taillight configuration).

Quick correction, this is most likely a Marathon (I didn't see the photo of the dashboard, which would have made it much more clear... the car has a Marathon dash, not the flat taxicab dash). It also has the side trim, but that could be ordered as an option in the cabs, so it wasn't definitive. Great site!
